Enjoy the Healthful Bounty from Angelic Organics CSA Farm

For more than two decades, families in Evanston have been receiving organic vegetables and herbs from Angelic Organics Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm in North Central Illinois. These families, known as shareholders, pick up their weekly or bi-weekly share on the 1100 block of Asbury Ave or the 1200 block of Washington St. in your community. (See map below.)

From mid June through October, pick up your vegetable share at the Evanston South on Asbury site on Tuesdays from 2:45 pm to 8 pm or the Evanston South on Washington site on Tuesdays from 2:15 pm to 8 pm.

Evanston South on Asbury is a new pickup site hosted by shareholder Stacey. Stacey has been an Angelic Organics shareholder since 2014.

Stacey writes:
“I’m thrilled to be a host site this year with Angelic Organics! My family and I have been shareholders for the past few seasons, since moving to Evanston from New York City, where we were longtime CSA members. We’re most excited about meeting and getting to know all the shareholders each week as you come to collect your vegetables! With that in mind, please feel free to hang out and chat, bring any kids you may have with you to play in the back yard (we have a five year old and two year old twins who will be thrilled to play!), volunteer to be a greeter one week, and get to know the other shareholders.

I’m looking forward to setting up some community events as well—a couple of ideas include a shareholder potluck that we’re happy to host in our yard, and a group trip out to the farm—and I’m excited to hear your ideas too—let’s build community around learning more about where our food comes from, enjoying each other’s company, and of course the delicious vegetables!”

The Evanston South on Washington pickup site has been hosted by Cheryl since 1997. Cheryl joined our farm as a shareholder in 1996.

Cheryl writes:
“We have been strong supporters of local organic farming for many years. We appreciate connecting like-minded people in our area to local organic fresh food sources, creating a mutally supportive connection between organic farmers and this community. I’m a longtime Hatha Yoga student and certified Iyengar Tradition Yoga Instructor, plus an avid gardener. “
